Chicks-for-Charity Dinner raises money to benefit Pathways to Success, Inc.
Pathways to Success, Inc. extends a special thank you to the United Troopers Alliance and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement for supporting Pathways through proceeds generated at their first Family and Friends Day at Camp Barnes on August 30, 2014. October 2014 - Student of the Month - KENYA NEAL
Kenya Neal, Pathways to Success student at Sussex Tech High School in Georgetown, wrote and delivered a poem titled “It’s Time to Take a Stand,” for a Community Revitalization and Fair Housing Rights event sponsored by Pathways and Zoar United Methodist Church on September 25, 2014. Kenya received a standing ovation for the power and insight of her words written as a call to action for individuals living in under-served communities so that they raise awareness of their needs and act as catalysts for positive change.
Kenya is a playwright, is active in her church, and participates in Skills USA. In 2013, Kenya won a silver medal in the Skills USA Leadership contest in the category of prepared speech. In 2014, she won second place in the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Harambee XXI community service award talent competition. Kenya hopes to attend the University of Delaware in 2015.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21st, 2014, “Chicks for Charity” sponsored a dinner at Fish On Restaurant in Lewes, DE to benefit Pathways to Success, Inc. “Chicks for Charity” is dedicated to assisting those less fortunate, and the raffle and 50/50 raised $800 for Pathways!
In April, 2014, Pathways received a 2014 Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Harambee XXI Community Service Award for its after-school academic enrichment and community outreach programs.
National sorority honors Pathways to Success, Inc. for community service:
Established in Lewes, Delaware, the organization has aided the residents of Sussex County since 2010. Many of the charitable organizations “Chicks for Charity” has supported are essential community resource agencies that aid kids, families, the elderly, abandoned animals, and those that are under-served and in need.
Pathways is partnering with the Delaware Division of Human Relations to provide Fair Housing Rights education and outreach to under-served communities throughout Sussex County.
